Problem starting & horn
Well, I am having a problem starting my car. Yesterday, I tried starting it to move it and the crank sounded weak and took a sec longer than it fired up, about an hour later, I moved it again and it took even longer, it was just trying to crank but wouldnt fully start, after a couple tries it finally did. The battery reader is reading at 14v. The battery is about 2 months old. This morning I went to start it and the crank was slow, and weaker than yesterday. I didn't try to fully start it and took another car. I did some searching and someone with a similar problem found the problem to be the fuel pump, so I assume that may be it. Then something out of the ordinary happened, I locked the car and the horn sounded WEAK, like 1/3 of the normal sound. The lights flashed like normal. So Im wondering if these issues just occured coincidentally or if something else is happening. Any ideas? Thanks

battery... or an alternator that drained the battery.
Since the gauge is showing the alt is putting out 14 I'd say its the battery, even some new batteries are duds. Rare but it happens.
OR worst case you have a short and even when the cars off it will drain the battery and make it weak/dead by the morning when you get in.
Check connections, make sure they are tight, if you have a system installed make sure no wires are shorted at the amp or anything, and after that drive over to an autozone or something and get them to test your battery.

Okay, I will probably get nissan to check battery because the battery has a warranty so they wont charge me. But why is the horn weak on locking? It is fine just honking, just weak on locking. It is now starting a tad better, it just cranks for a little bit then starts off but it sounds and feels bad, not itself. The cranking is taking too long. Thanks for your response
I dont think it is the battery because I went to jump start it and it still started the same way. Someone on another thread had this problem and it turned out to be the fuel pump. But that wouldnt explain the horn.
It sounds like there's a bad connection somewhere that's keeping the battery from getting fully charged and keeping the starter and horn from getting enough current to work properly.
Replacing the fuel pump might have helped because it requires disconnecting the battery. That may have been enough to improve the connection.
I'd start by checking the leads at the battery terminals.
