Default Tire Feathering - Make Yourself Heard

I saw on zcar.com an interesting post. They are rallying the troops to goto the NHTSA website and filing a complaint on the tire feathering issue.

It only takes 5 minutes to fill out the form, and maybe with enough complaints filed on the issue they will take notice.

Link to file a complaint: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

Be sure that when you fill out the form to specify that it is a front suspension issue (not a tire issue) causing the problems.

Good Luck...

There were 83 complaints on the 350Z, the majority were the suspension/tire issue.

this has been posted before.. apparently people on this forum would rather spend time bitching on the forums than fill out a simple form

I suggest we focus on this as a safety issue due to the possibility of a blowout as the wear accelerates on the inside edge. I filed my case with NNA based on this major concern.
Yes, replacement tires of any flavor are expensive and the noise level is painful, but safety concerns are more likely to get action and to date, NNA has never acknowledged it in this light, let alone the wear- just the noise issue.

It's amazing the number of posts you find in regard to this issue (myself included) yet when I filed my complaint at NHTSA there was hardly anyone filing complaints there.

All the calls I have made to Nissan they act like I am the first to have that problem. I may have to print out those pages as proof that I'm not the first.

I took part in that other forum to get people to file complaints. I am still shocked that so few people have even bothered to file a complaint!

IT IS FREE TO FILE THE COMPLAINT AND IT TAKES ONLY A FEW MINUTES!!!!!

If you all really really do want Nissan to do something about this then file that damn complaint so the government may pressure Nissan into providing a fix! Also we should complain to J.D. Power so they can write up some nasty stuff about Nissan which would get nissan in the mood to do something about this.

Files those damn complaints, folks!!!

Really, I'll file them for you if you just pm me your damn info you lazy bums!
