Squeaking Sound when I turn The steering wheel ??
Hey people. well i have a 2004 350z with 90,000 miles. i was wanting to get some opinions before taking it to a mechanic.. recently when i back out of the driveway turning the steering wheel left or right all the way.it will squeak .or if a make a right turn or left turn on any street.. what do you think could be causing this issue? steering rack issues?

squeak
there are several things that can do this.
Yo didnt specify where the noise was coming from.. this thread will need much more detail for a proper answer..
Heres some things that can cause it, you can use them to search and find a good answer that fits you best.
The steering wheel has a plastic piece that rotates the wiring when the wheel is turned.. it often makes a little whine like a cat meow in my car... spray a touch of pure graphite spray in there.. case closed.
At 90k miles, your front end rubber is likely shot to hell.
Search LCA bushing ( lower controll arm bushing)
search compression rod bushing ( most likely cause)
I almost bet you 100 bucks in one or a combo of these.
Heres the benefit.. although its more to fix than you think, the good news is its extremely common on almost all 350z, so common that most shops have done it and have experience so they can give youa easy quote, the parts are cheap and it is also a very slow set of parts to go out.. meaning that you prob arent aware of how horrible your handling realy is... until you fix it, and its like having a brand new car again.. so its well worth the cost.

Does it make a squeaking sound or a hissing sound when you turn it all the way to left/right? Mine makes a hissing sound when initially starting the car up and not giving it time to warmup before moving the steering wheel.

hey guys sorry i didn't specify .but yea the power steering fluid is full.. its more like a squeak from and old metal sound.coming from the front bottom of the car.more from the side wheel area.but yea Bmccann101 maybe your right..maybe its old bushings that need to be replaced.. im getting it checked by a mechanic this sunday anyways. and it only does it when i turn the wheel .if its is the bushings your talking about bmccann101 then how much normally is it for parts and labor? for both that is..
