Default SS Clutch Line replacement issues

Ok, I spent half an hour searching on here and came up empty handed. I had my clutch line burst under my car. So just to be safe I ordered a new slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and an insulated braided stainless clutch line as well as 2 pints of motul 600. I have the Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder swapped out. I downloaded the factory service manual and theres a little spring clip that holds the top of the clutch line to a bracket attached to the drivers side wheel well(sorry but I'm just trying to be as descriptive as possable). I am wondering if theres any trick to getting that spring clip off? I dont have a lift so I'm doing this in my driveway so to speak, but I have tried prying it off with a screwdriver, I tried getting a pair of pliers on it and have had no luck. It's very frustrating as this little 50 cent piece of tin is keeping my car from going back down the road. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Joe

I tried using a screw driver and all I did was invent some colorful new words and bend a screwdriver. And thanks for the DIY link, I plan to use the modded swivel head wrench idea, it's a good one.
