Default Ticking VQ35HR !Please Help!

So recently I bought a 2007 350z Base and it had a light ticking which i suspected to be the lifters, and then I changed the oil with Mobil 1 Syn 5w-30 and a mobil 1 filter and i think it got a little worse. What should i do because it bothers me what it is and what it can do to my engine. What do you guys think it is and what could i do to quiet the ticking?

Get a tune up. Are you sure it's from the engine and not somewhere else. Does it increase with speed or revs.

its only at idle then after 2500 rpm you cant hear it anymore. the ticking gets quicker as you rev it.

What do you mean by tune up what does that include?

Did you buy it like that? Anyway it sounds like the top end but I can't quite tell so I'm not 100% but make sure you positive your not low on oil. My top end would tick when I got slightly low on oil.

Having that same exact problem, it's definitely coming from the top end where the cams are, very loud on a cold start up and it goes away after 2500rpm. Really annoying and don't remember that when I bought it brand new. Using Pennziol Platinum Synthetic and at 27xxx miles right now. Figured it was the timing chain clicking but I'm not sure.

Could be it was a little out of spec on the clearences from the factory but to be honest, I didn't hear a tick to be worried about, but it was odd that a stock engine sounded like it had a lope.
