Default Coolant Change

I have an 05 base 350z , summer driver , with only 15K on the odometer. I thought it was a good idea to change the coolant because of the acidity problem that can develop. Can I just do a drain and fill? Are there any special tricks with the Z? I had a friend do a drain and fill on a different vehicle and had overheating problems due to an air pocket? Is there any special procedure for removing air pockets? Are there special coolant or additive requirements? I was going to use good old Zerex. Thanks.

Yea just drain and fill. It's pretty straight forward and simple procedure. Check out the DYI on this site and there is a thread on the coolant change. One thing I did that help the drain was once the coolant was finished draining turn on the car for about a minute then turn back off and you will see some additional coolant start to drain again.

I recommend:

a. Drain. Fill with water.
b. Run heater full ON.
b. Drain fill with coolant.

viva la spam mentioned coolant purge. Read up.
