Default Tachometer randomly gets stuck

Last week when I was driving my roadster, my tachometer, just stopped for a few seconds on 2500 rpm, then moved a little and stopped on like 2000 rpm, then started to go back to normal. I could tell that the RPM's it got stuck on was not the actual engine speed cause I know what it feels like. This happened last week after about a year and a half of it not happening(it's happened before). Then it happened yesterday but just barely.
What could this be? Is it possibly that my other gauges are out of whack also(oil pressure, speed, etc)? Or could it just be a bad fuse? Help!!!

From the service manual:

TACHOMETER
ECM provides an engine speed signal to unified meter and A/C amp. CAN communication line. Unified meter
and A/C amp. provides an engine speed signal to combination meter for tachometer with communication line
between unified meter and A/C amp. and combination meter.

A malfunctioning unified meter may show other symptoms such as speedometer and fuel level.
a. IF you assume the problem is the tachometer, and replace it, you may not have fixed the source.
b. Or you can have diagnostics done by Nissan to pinpoint the problem.
