Car shuts off after starting
Problem with my '04 350z. Immediately after starting the car, about 2 seconds later the car shuts off, and then I have to restart it. It happened once last night and twice today already. Any clue what this could be?
Could it have anything to do with disconnecting the battery? A week ago I disconnected the battery because my CD player has not been working. I was told by several people to disconnect the battery to see if that might fix the CD player by "rebooting" it. That did not work, and now I have this problem.
Last Sunday I disconnected the battery and then only drove it like 15 miles or so the rest of the day and Monday. I went to Vegas on Tuesday morning and the car wasn't driven until yesterday (Saturday) morning. It didn't shut off Saturday morning when I start it and drove home from my friend's house, but then later that night when I went out, it happened. Then it did it twice today already (Sunday).
If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

How far away is your friends house? Does it only do it when the motor is warmed up? I had a similar issue - turned the throttle body wasn't opening/closing correctly (it was probably just dirty - this is what the dealership told me).. so i sourced out a used/fresh throttle body and then did "idle relearn" procedure.. no problems since.
Have someone take a look at that for you to make sure? I'm so used to older cars (like my '91 180sx)... virtually no electronics to worry about - when I got my Z33, it was driving me nuts...
good luck man...
