Oil Pressure, Engine Temp, Heat questions
I'm in the process of fixing a salvage Z, my first car repair project. I ran the car today to look for problems and had a few questions:
- Oil Pressure starts around 90psi, and through idling after about 15 min had dropped to ~28psi
- Engine temperature was pegged cold for the first ~10-12 minutes, and once it warmed up the needle rose rather quickly from almost pegged to right in the middle in a matter or seconds, then stayed there for the next 10 minutes.
Do these symptoms sound normal? How should I go about diagnosing oil pressure problems?
Also, TPMS only displays one tire, good chance the others are shot? Or should I just re set in the TPMS by putting down some miles?

in regards to the oil pressure...in cold weather mine starts off at about 110 or so...near the max...and then after warming up to normal operating temperature...it drops to about 27-28...
in regards to the engine temp...my needle starts to move in about 2.5 minutes and continues to gradually move upwards to the just below the middle in about another 5 minutes or so...

I just thought it was odd, my needle jumped all the way from pegged to warm in a second. I'm just glad it stopped in the middle haha
