Default Weird idle?!?

Hey guys hope you can help.. 2 weeks ago installed a cone filter on my 350z.. I never discounted the battery on install?? Don't know if that matters.. Well I notices this morning the z was idling very strange ?? It would goo from I'm guessing 750ish to 500ish and back?? Do I have to reset some thing?? Could it be the new filter?? If it's the filter causing this I have no issue putting it back to stock .. Thanks guys

Disconnect your battery and leave it over night.

It will re-learn idle.

Do the pedal resets for idle air learning, etc.

what cone filter, was it an oil filter? if so the MAF will need to be cleaned, it can cause a "fishbite" at idle, a small miss then picks back up. it may also miss at high rpm at full throttle. this is the MAF sending an irratic signal to the ECM. causing an improper AFR. other possibilities exist for this condition in the fire triangle. check you're plugs. check you're fuel.
