Default paint chipped with shallow rusting

hey guys im new here for sure so ive just got my 350z and the roof has 2 rock chips on it and there is shallow rust on them. i was wondering is there anyway u guys kno of to fix this myself or a cheap way? the estimates ive gotten are to repaint the whole roof top for all around 500 area. thanks

Take care of this soon.

a. Use caution removing rust. I use a white art eraser. It can be sharpened to a point.

b. For a first coat I use APPLIANCE TOUCH-UP by Rust-Oleum. Available in several colors. Experiment and see which works best for you.

c. Top coat is Nissan touch-up paint.

may i ask why to use the appliance touch up? just curious really
