Just to update you guys, this is how the car sounds after 2 junky mechanics (one from this forum) and the stealership trying to charge me $9k for a motor.

If it's dumping too much fuel, have you checked your fuel pressure? And maybe the orings on the injectors got smashed when reinstalling them. Just and idea.

I think its still dumping lots of fuel.. the fumes are purely white..

Usually too rich it's black fumes, coolant white fumes, and oil bluish white fumes

You have a steady misfire. Unless it's mechanical, it's caused by blown coil packs, fouled plugs, \stuck injector, wiring issue, or any combination...

Does that 'knocking' sound go away when you push the clutch in? If not, you have either a serious exhaust leak or a bad case of rod knock to go with the aformentioned... my gut feeling is the engine is toast.

Good luck... wish you took it to a reputable VQ mechanic (NOT the dealer under any circumstances) instead of wasting 2k+ and taking ill advice to drive it with a steady misfire...

I have new plugs, the first mechanic changed both valve covers and 2 coil packs, the 2nd mechanic changed one injector, gasket...

The knocking does go away when I press the clutch.

Yeah, I learned my lesson big time..

I am having similar problems, but it finally throw a code telling me its cylinder 4, keep us updated, maybe I will try coilpack and injector

Mine started with cylinder 6, then went to cyl. 1.. Now it says cyl. 2... Yeah it sucks
