Default Rattling Gear Shifter - Any help/advice appreciated

Hi Guys,

When I am in motion driving my Z, there is now a metal sounding rattle noise coming from what appears to be the shifter. Wondering if anyone knew any way to tighten it at all or to fix it?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

stock shifter, or short shifter installed? stock shift **** or aftermarket?

there are bolts that hold down a metal frame under the plastic console (4 of them, 10mm heads). Check those. Also, there is a single nut/bolt that connects the lever to the shifter. May want to check that too.

Yeah, it's a stock shifter with a stock **** on it. How is it I get under the plastic console? (No easy access points that I can see)

You just grab the "ring" that goes around the shifter and pop it up. Its not bolted or screwed down. It should pop out pretty easily.
