Unhappy Helppppp

i have a 2006 z sometimes it picks up fine when i am driving it but then sometimes it is to slow what could cause it, like the rpm shoots up fine sometimes but then its not that fast

Wow thanks for all the details! Is your car modded and how? How many miles? What do you consider not that fast?

Mine's slower when I go uphill, faster when I go downhill. Something to do with gravity, I think.

so i figured whats wrong with it when i thurn on my headlights its taking the power away from the engine. what i did was driving in second gear about 35mph gave it gas(while the head light was on) and it did not respond good the second i turned off my headlights it just took off
2006 350z 22k miles
6 speed no mods done

do you have aftermarket head lights (I'v never seen aftermarket headlights)?

do you have aftermarket tail lights?

if you have aftermarket tail lights, that is the cause of your problem. replace them with the OEM tail lights.

sorry i wanted to say tail lights lol. yea i have some after market tail lights so i am goin to switch them out to stock ones and you think that will fix the problem

it will fix the problem, There's been a few cases where the lights really mess up the way the ecu works.
