Default Bad Alternator?

Hey guys. I just got my new engine in, but am having some problems. To my suprise, they are very minimal. lol. 1st is my alternator isn't charging. I tested it at the battery, and nothin... so i tested it at the alternator and got a 0.00 dc volts. Bad alternator?

The only other problem is that it doesn't like to go directly from 3500+rpms to idle (ie: if I throw the clutch in and roll up to a stop sign). Could these 2 problems be related? Or is this just a result of my BC stg 2 cams and/or ACT streetlite flywheel?

Any insight is appreciated.

0 DC volts? Hm.. I would put a tester on the battery and start it, then see what the alt is charging at. A good alt would usually charge around 13.5-14 volts

I did that very thing. I had to really dig in under there , but I found that my alternator was not properly connected. I dunno how I did that... but I'm sure glad that it was something so easy. There was alot of stuff to sort through when I put the engine back in. Back to breaking her in!
