Default Tire Feathering Database

For anyone currently in arbitration or considering that path it seems like it would be very useful to have a database of affected vehicles including what actions have been taken to fix them and the relative success rate of those actions. We all know that the problem is pervasive but it would be difficult to put a number on it. You will still find people that will argue to the contrary. So what if we could put a number on it? What if you could walk into your arbitration hearing with a list of VIN numbers documenting Nissan's inability/unwillingness to correct the problem? Whether you are pursueing a buyback or not this information would be nice to have. It would be interesting to see what percentage of the 350Z owners here have this problem. So why not use my350z.com as the repository of such information. All you would need to do is post your VIN number, Manufacture date, in service dates, corrective action and the results. It seems like having the VIN numbers would provide adequate admissability in court since all other information can be derived from it. I'll post just as soon as I get home and look at my paperwork if anyone else is interested. Any thoughts?

This is a great idea, and very easy to do. Someone can just make a simple form and SQL db to house the information. How will we validate the VIN numbers though? The information needs to be as accurate as possible. We at least need the VIN range, maybe if we require everyone to take a pic of there VIN sticker and perhaps feathered tires too? And how many of the 39,000 2003 350Z owners do you think use my350z.com? These are just some of the things we need to think about here.

Default Ok, How about this?

An avidavat exchange program. There is power in numbers and I will execute a notorized avadavat detailing my vehicle's history with regard to tire feathering and send it to anyone with a case in progress. PM me with your request. By the way, It seems like a number of people who have successfully brought cases against Nissan are reluctant to talk about it publicly. I can't speak for other States, but in Florida any agreement that contains any sort of non-disclosure clause is, by definition, null and void.
