Question Speedo Problem?

I'm suspecting a faulty speedo on my Z. Can anyone tell me what speed is on your speedo when you are in the 6th gear at 3000 RPM? Thanks!

Seeing as no one is replying to your message, I'll offer this...probably won't help you but what the hell I'm bored.
Disclaimer: I've got a 5 A/T Buuuuuutttttt, on the way to work this morning, in 5th @3000, I was cruising @ almost exactly 80.

Thanks "Z4ToddB", even though you got 5AT I appreciate your info.

Now, anyone else with 6MT can tell me what speed you have at 6th gear and 3,000 RPM ?

I kinda thought the same. Does not sound right...As I was driving last night I remembered the post, so went up to 3000 to see. Later when I got home and was online, I started to post and thought wait...was I in 5th or 6th. When everyone else posted I realized I was in 6th.

Default What about digital??

My car also sits at 80 mph @ 3,000 rpm.

What about your guys digital readout? I noticed that my cars digital speedometer reading almost always reads approx 2-3 mph lower than the analog. I asked the serviceman, and he said the digital is not as accurate, and go with the analog readout. Anyone notice this trait in their Z?

Yes, I notice that too....there is a slight delay on the digital readout from the actual speed (analog readout).

My dealer told me that the digital speedo is more accurate. Calibrated through the computer and all. Whay do you think that analog would be more accurate than digital?

I would say the digital is more acurate than the analog. At least the 2 cops that have stopped me have been right on when they told me my speed. I rarely use the analog, I find myself always looking at the digital.

Maybe you guys are right (Digi speedo is more accurate), I guess I'm just old-school.
