wtf headlight gear why??
So my headlights are pointing down too much. I searched around and read about the little gear hiding down the bottom of the headlight. So I used a screwdriver and kept spinning the gear for like 5 minutes....i can see it spinning one tooth at a time as i turn....but the beam isnt moving at all.
I see some of you guys say you need to turn it quite a bit to get it to move? But really i was turning it for a good 5 minutes and no dice. I would think this should be a pretty easy straight forward thing, but as my luck goes with cars, easy projects like to turn into annoyances lol.
Anyway, anyone else have this problem? The gear isn't doing anything. (I even tried going reverse to lower the beam, that didnt do anything either.)

I used a long phillips head and it rotated the gear as I turned the screwdriver. If you are adjusting with your lights shining on a wall you should notice the difference immediately.
There are actually 2 separate "gears" for adjusting the headlight beam. Not sure why the one you are trying isn't doing anything but maybe you can try the other. I believe you'll have to pull the fender liner out to reach it, and it has a cap over it. Couldn't find a picture but I can get one of my spare headlights tonight.
According to the service manual, you can reach the adjusting screw with a long screwdriver right next to the inner edges of the fenders. In the diagram, the screwdriver is vertical right at the corner of the lens.
