Default Seat motor problem

My drivers side electric seat will not move forward or backwards. I tested the power plug at the seat motor, and I am getting 12v+ and 12v- when I toggle the seat switch. I took the seat out of the car and made sure there is nothing blocking or jamming the tracks. I also applied 12v to the motor, and there is no sound or movement.

Has anyone had to deal with this problem?
.
Tips? Recommendations?

You've got power going to the motor, and the tracks are clear, but the seat doesn't move? The motor is dead.

I'll see if it's available without ordering the whole seat.

Progress report: Took seat motor apart and discovered tooth from nylon gear jamming the motor's metal worm gear.

Cleaned motor and tested it. It appears to work fine in both directions.

Can anyone get me this gear in the picture below:

There are 2 different ways:

1. Use a socket wrench with a swivel and extension. You must fish for the bolt though.
2. Remove a bolt from mid-track under the seat. By removing this bolt from both tracks, it will allow you to slide the seat forward. These bolts hold the nut that the worm drive spindle travels through.

Study a repair manual picture, and you will notice what I am talking about.

Good luck.
