I'm hoping I can get some help from this dead thread instead of making a new one. I hit a curb pretty straight on at about 15-20mph. Immediately lost my rear drivers tire and almost lost my front drivers (the rim cut halfway through the sidewall and I'm sure it's probably bent now, but still holds air) I looked at things for a while and took a few measurements and decided my compression rods needed replacing so I through in some new ones with bushings and took it in for an alignment. Meineke said they pulled it back into spec except for camber angles, so I drove it around a bit. Before the alignment it was pulling hard to the left, after it was fine for about fifteen miles and now it has a slight pull to the right. It also shakes violently at 60 bit I'm sure that's the bent front wheel that's no longer balanced. I don't have pictures yet but I do have an alignment report!

I'm sure that there are others on here that have some of the "unwanted experience" you're looking for.
I was looking at what I could have damaged on my Genesis Coupe. Then I seen you said if its the rear you probably know what I could have messed up. The other day I was having too much fun in the snow and hit a curb with my right rear. The right rear wheel sits slightly inwards to the left. My steering isn't straight either, to drive straight it needs to be turned to the left.

I'm on a Genesis Forum, but no ones replied yet. I'm just looking for some insight from people who've experienced the same as me. When I typed in, hit a curb what can possibly be bent this forum popped up, so I asked a question.

My cars my baby, I just wanna know what I could have messed up and if I could fix it or should I take it to a mechanic. It's all cars, so does it matter if it's a Genesis?

You should check control arms, camber arms, compression arms, toe arms, and subframes depending on where you hit the curb. Most OEM arms have bend points that collapse on impact to help prevent damage to subframes. So the best suggestion is to get underneath the car and check everything.

I'm a do it myself kind of girl. If it's something that can be replaced, why not replace it myself. & I could control my car in the snow, tyvm. & I bought a rwd cause I wanted to. Why so hostile?

& im not cheap to take it to a mechanic, it goes to the dealership for everything. 👌🏼

"I can control my car" *crashes*

"Im a do it myself kind of girl" "it goes to the dealership for everything"

Oh the contradictions...

Oil change, myself. Filters, myself. Busted headlight, myself. Alignment dealership. If I can't fix it, dealership. New tires, dealership. Fender, myself. Wrecked body, dealership.

& I hit it. It wasn't a full on collision, and my wheel fell off and it broke.

Here goes again..... COOL IT WITH THE HOSTILITY.

A new member signs on and there is absolutely NO NEED to be rude over a simple question. Just take a pass if there's nothing constructive in your responses. This is what gives forums their bad names.

OP - the "real" advice in this thread is to have it checked out - whether you do it or take it in. There are too many things that could break, anything from the hub assembly to an axle and everything in between. The Genesis rear layout isn't too drastically different from a Z but best to take it to someone who knows and speaks Hyundai.
