Question TMPS problem!!

okay guys, I own a 2007 Daytona Blue 350z Touring m/t.

i bought it used with 48,XXX miles and the next day, the tmps light came one.

after a few days i took it to my local Town Fair Tire to get it fixed and the rear right tire's pressure cant be read with a digital tire pressure reader. i tried with my analog reader and you can see it, but you dont get the hissing sound everytime you check it.

i had the guy check it for me and he said the right rear wheel had a corroded wheel sensor.

so i payed $77 dollars for him to fix it and replace.
its been about 4-5 days and today i went on a longer trip, approx. 18 miles? and about a quarter of my way there to the mall, the TMPS light started blinking for a minute and then turned solid and has been ever since.

i couldnt go today to get it checked cuz its a sunday.

Is there a known problem with the Zs having a bad TMPS?

could it be something else?

i checked the tire pressures when i got to the mall and all of them seemed withing 3psi range of 40psi (it was when i got there so the reading wasnt cold) one was 41, 2 was 40 and one was 36-38ish.

any ideas?

thanks for the inputs!

If you didn't get the new sensor registered to the ECU, then it won't work with the car yet. Take it to a dealer for the re-programming.

But he said warning light didn't come back on until 4 days after the sensor was installed. You would think if registration was the problem, it would have come back on right after the installation and driving it again.

Only if he drove it for the 30-45 minutes before the ECU gave up on the missing sensor.
