ok so i recently picked up my car about a month or so ago from a friend. a few weeks after having the car i noticed it was making a high pitched whinning noise and im not sure what it is. it only happens when i am accelerating and it happens at around 3500rpm in just about every gear until it warms up after 20 min or so. but i wont do it if i have it in nuetrul and just push on the gas, only when in gear. and it is a 6spd. what could this be?

 

Have you checked the diff fluid? Does it do it if you're in neutral and give it gas while revving? You're gonna look like a ricer when you try it, but oh well.

 

i have not checked the diff yet cause ive just been so busy at work, gonna check it this weekend. and it does not do it while in N on in gear, i tried reving it in N to check and see and it wasnt doing it then.
