Default Driver Window Acting Weird!

Ok so I bought my Z on January 10th 2012. When I took the car out for a test drive, it was working perfectly. Driver's side window Rolled up, and rolled down, self-sealed when opening and closing the driver door. The very same day I drove the F***ker home, the driver window stopped rolling up/down. It even stopped auto-sealing/unsealing itself when opening/closing the door!!! I told the salesman (which happens to be a good friend of mine), that it stopped working. He said let him know when I have a day off and bring it in so they can diagnose the problem, and fix it for me for FREE. So I told him I would as soon as I get a day off. Well, until I go in Friday coming up, I would like to know why its acting up. Once in a blue moon it will roll up and down, but I have to hit the door panel in the right spot and it will work. BUT! It WILL NOT self-seal when opening and closing the door at all! What is causing the window to act up? If it was a motor, I would assume it wouldnt work at all. Could it be a loose connection on the window switch itself? Or window switch going bad? BTW, the passenger window works flawlessly, rolls up and down and self seals. Anyone and everyone chime in.

This is a common problem there is a TSB. You are either going to need to rebuild the window motor or buy a new one if it is outside warranty. BTW, you do understand this car has been around since 03?

Yes it's the window motor. The carbon brush inside the motor must be worn out.

good. a lot of folk buy these cars when the original owner didn't think it was important to do what should be done for free because of the TSBs and the new owners end up paying for it to be done. Seat bolsters are probably #1.

The window motor is notorious. Good on you that they'll fix it out of your pocket.

check to make sure the fuel filler tube was done as well. That one is pretty serious. that one you won't have to pay for even out of warranty because it is a safety hazard.

I've been through 4 window motors. Make sure they give you a new one and not a Rebuilt one as well. The core's are out there and catch about 40 bucks...but chances are it will happen to you again.

Watch this...do a little experiment. Hold the button down when its not working and open and close the door. Chances are it will go down...do the same for it to go back up. But that only works a handful of times. You'll need to replace it completely.
