Default Need advice for the clutch

Hi

I have a 2004 350Z and will need a new clutch soon. I have not mod my car, everything are stock.

I have been reading on the forum and it seems like JWT and Competition Clutch are decent brand to go with.

I found a set of Competition Clutch and flywheel on eBay. I wonder if this is something I should get?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160700237186...84.m1423.l2649

Please give me some advice or alternative.
Thank you

Believe $364 is the flywheel only. Competition Clutch is a brand name. So when you read Competition Clutch it is not necessarily a clutch. Hope that makes sense.

^+1, Competition Clutch and JWT are both good clutches, either one will be fine

Since your car is stock just go with jwt. What type of driving are you doing? Just daily driver?

Several members, including myself, have installed Competition Clutch. You will find several reviews in the Drivetrain forum: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...-flywheel.html

I went with an Exedy Stg 1. $400, no flywheel

Just get something with a reputable name.

I am thinking to get a EXEDY NSK1000 Clutch and a cheap flywheel. Does the flywheel matter?
My budget is really tight, any suggestion?
Thanks

I recommend if you are shopping for a clutch and flywheel, buy the same brand. In other words EXEDY Clutch and EXEDY flywheel.

If it's a daily driver with no mods and no intention to mod, get the Exedy clutch.

You probably don't even need a new flywheel if your budget is tight. Take the FW to a shop to get it resurfaced and it should be fine.
