I don't have a torque wrench that does inches so I just had to torque to feel.

I'm going to open it up tomorrow and see. I'll keep you posted. I am not replacing the trans just because the syncro is gone. I'll just slam it into second until it doesn't go anymore...lol until I find a CD009 I guess.

Yeah definitely let us know. But I think a new buttery smooth CD009 from Z1 wouldnt hurt at all. But Im not looking forward to shelling out 1600 (even though I think thats a good price)

So, I took a look today. everything was still tightened down properly but I tinkered with it a bit to line it up a bit more.

Its between -10 and 5 degrees Celsius right now so maaybe my car doesn't like this cold weather. Oh well, it's not grinding, it just clunks into gear.

Atleast opening it up today gave me a chance to finally hook up my parking brake switch for my head unit...only 8months after installing it

I wouldn't say its hard. It just isn't smooth. its like a "clunk" every time. No grinding.

Is it only hard for you to shift into second? Because I flushed and bled my clutch when I got the car, seemed to make it a bit easier to shift into all gears, meaning it wasn't fully engaging.

I daily drive my Z as well. I had read that there were times when shifting would be difficult, and it was mostly in the upper part of the RPM range.

For me, even lower, around 3K I occasionally had issues getting into gear. Sometimes it just wouldn't drop in at all, or it would "clunk" in. I got a Weapon-R engine torque damper, and have never had the issue again. Now, my shifts are all smooth and effortless.

How much did you get it for and where from? Ive read that they make the shifting stiffer and make the car vibrate more? Lemme know cuz im ready to try that if the shifter adjustment doesnt work

I paid about $200 for mine, and I think I got it from Weapon-R directly. It's been about 4 years now, so I don't remember exactly. I never felt shifting get any stiffer or anything. Made everything much smoother and more fluid, for me.
