Hi. I have not been driving my z for like a month.. due i was away .. actually i was out of the country.. but..my wife started for me once or twice.. just started the car.. without actually driving it around the block.. I came back 2 days ago.. yesterday I took my z for a drive.. then suddenly it slowed way down.. but the engine was still on.. just felt like the z was not accelerating no more than 6 to 7 mph from like 65mph... and at the same time on the dashboard the tcs light as well as the check engine light and slip light came on... i had to pulled to the shoulder.. and turn off my z.. and i turn it on again.. the check engine light still on.. but i was be able to drove it home.. thank god.. now i just started my z again.. and the check engine still on.. can anyone help me on this issue??? Thanks soooo much

 

Go to autozone or some auto parts store and check the code yourself with the scanner, they are free to use.

 

Cool.. i will do that.. and do you think that my z will stop on me again .. like it did before.. now i am afraid to drive it now...

 

Wonder if its stale gas and your sensors in the exhaust are slowing it down? a couple months shouldnt make it go stale though. COuld in some instances i suppose

 

Was it raining alot? this has happened to me b4 with an oldsmobile and getting water in the gas tank.

 

How much gas did you have it in when you left? A month is not that bad....really. Maybe your wife pulled some sort of Ferris Bueller move on you when you were gone.

 

Don't know until you check the code and see what you are throwing.

 

I will get it check tomorrow n I hope it won't stop on me again n that was just weird n crazy I was driving n suddenly just stale n I couldn't drive the n the lights came on n that scared the @$)@ out of me n I was on the highway ... Thanks for the info

 

I think it did rain a lot n I have almost a full tank of gas in my z n plus after I stale on me n it runs fine cuz I drove me z back home lol thank god

 

Just a suggestion. Put a subject in the subject line like

Squeaking brakes

instead of

Help

Need help immediately

or

If you don't help right away I will die!

 

you must have this always copied so u can just right click and paste lol

 

found out .. the problem was the sensor on the throttle
