Default New TPMS sensors for my 03 350z - Nissan won't reset my tpms system?..

Hey guys, so I just bought new wheels for my car, and with them I purchased a set of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-4-Dorman...ht_2369wt_1270

I had them installed in the new wheels - but as expected my tpms readings are all "- -". I have however not had my tpms light come on yet which I thought was strange, and every once in a while one of the "- -" will switch to an actual, accurate pressure reading of one of the tires, but then quickly changes back to "- -" and usually stays there unless I turn the car off let it sit and then go drive it a few hours later.

I figured the TPMS system just needed a reboot / resync with the new sensors, but I took it to Nissan and they said "Because the sensors are chrome - and oem nissan ones are like that, we can't reset your tpms system"

So... wtf? What do I do?

Actually, I would suspect that those "clone" TPMS sensors don't work with our cars.

I bought mine from here:

http://www.revolutionsupply.com/TPMSIndex.aspx

Tire shop that did the install couldn't set them, so I took it to the Stealership. $50 later, they're all working.

Find a different dealer?
