When my car sits for a while, the first 10 or so seconds after startup the car sounds like an engine dry starting.

I've driven it about 250 miles since I purchased it, and was never told about this problem when I bought it.

The car has 149,xxx miles on it, and drives great otherwise. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I have the same problem. I have an 04 base with 84k miles.

 

I was wondering, could it be the oil pump?
