Angry Problem with A/C and feet+front air

Hey guys, just purchased my 2005 Nissan 350z completely stock other than suspension and intake.

I switched from the controls for the air flow and had them set to feet + front ( face vents )

When I turned it on, the A/C light came on .

what the heck is wrong with my DREAM car .

More importantly, How do I fix this.

My aircon comes on at weird times too. I'd bet if I read the manual there is probably a reason. I'm lazy. When it comes on and I don't want it, I just turn it off and it stays off until sometime later when it feels it needs to. Is it set to auto?

If your using the windshield or windshield/feet setting, the air conditioner defaults on by itself.

The system defaults to AC on - pretty simple to just push the button and turn it off. Used to annoy me, but after 8.5 years, not so much anymore.
