Default Fixable broken headlight mounting tabs?

I just picked up a set of 2006+ headlights for cheap to possibly replace my 2005 HIDs. The problem is that they have broken mounting tabs. One is a little worse than the other. Has anyone here repaired such damage? If so, what did you use. Thanks.

worst case scenario, buy an el cheapo set from ebay and chop the tabs off.. i bought a set of depos to use the lenses from, and hacked a few tabs off and used JB weld to fix them.

Thanks. I thought about that. I saw your headlight mod thread, and that's a good guide on how to take them apart.

I could not find any of the Alteco Epoxy, so I went with some "Loctite Plastics Bonding System". This stuff is supposed to work well with polypropylene (PP). I applied it to the pass-side headlight that had a crack around the bottom mounting tab and let it cure overnight (though this was not required). It seemed like it made a very strong bond. I decided not to do anything the to the driver side headlight that's missing the fender-side mounting tab.

I installed them more than a week ago and could not be happier!!!

Also, I scored a practically brand new driver's side headlight shell (no bulbs/ballast). It only has a small crack in the top mounting tab. I will be swapping this with the one currently installed in the next few days. I will probably put up the one with the fender-side tab for sale by next week, along with my original 05 HIDs.

One more surprise with the first pair of headlights that I got on Craigslist. I was swapping the shell on the drivers side today and was comparing it with the 3rd headlight that I bought and noticed that it looked a little bit hazy. upon closer inspection, I noticed that the headlights had a protective film applied to them. Since the 3rd headlight (driver's side) looks practically new, I decided to pull the film on the passenger side. A little scrape with my fingernail, then steady even force it came off pretty easy. To my surprise, the lense looked practically new! there was a little bit of glue residue, but I was able to clean it with alcohol and terry cloth towel.
