I already bought a used transmission and fixed my issue. But since I had this one laying around I cracked it open to check out what I did.


The problem was the transmission was stuck in 3rd gear. I could drive forward in 3rd but that's it.

Has anyone else ran into this problem?

When I opened the transmission up the shift fork was off knocked off so I put it back on and now when I attempt to test using my hands it seems to go in all the gears just fine.

I'm hoping someone else has opened this thing up with the same issue. It doesn't seem right that all I did was ram the fork off by not shifting correctly...


The transmission has 33,000 miles on it. I may take it to a shop and see what they say
