VeryLoud Drone at Exactly 60MPH (not faster or slower)
Not 57 or 58, but at 60MPH and up to maybe 62MPH and then not at any other speed (higher or lower).... It is significantly louder than road/wind/tire noise.
Fronts are feathering (more on the left front)... of course.
The rear tires are worn/old/hard stock 2004 RE0s which are quite worn.
I would not think bearings because i would hear it at all speeds (just change in pitch as i went faster)
Clutch in/out no difference, 5th gear/6th gear, no difference, only speed related at 60 MPH....
I have searched and searched - so
Thanks!

that seems strange that it doesnt matter what gear your in, it should matter what gear. should be pending your RPM and load. 3K at 4th, 5th, or 6th should all sound the same. speed should be irrelevelant,
what exhaust setup?
what exhaust setup?
So,what area is the drone coming from?
Can you tell?
Since a drone is usually exhaust related,I'd say it was your front tires.
Possibly a quick easy test to lead you in you right direction would be
to switch the front tires, right to left etc.
See what happens?...get the same drone at the same speed etc.

get new tires!
believe it or not worn tires can make a whine that sounds mechanical at certain speeds depending on the brand. I just went through this with mine. I knew my tires were worn and I was convinced my diff or tranny had an issue. but it went away when I bought new tires. The reason you are not getting any difference in sound whther clutch is in or out or even what gear you are in is because tires come with a little rubber wear indicator bar that goes across the entire width of the tire. as your rubber wears down these become exposed. as they become exposed they actually make sound every time they are rolled over depending on the tire manufacture since they all have different spacings between wear bars. your car tire at 60-62 mph it hitting those wear bars at just the right time intervals to create that horrid annoying sound! mine happened at 74-76 mph. it was so loud and annoying I had to drive with the windows down to drown it out. I just put new tires on 2 weeks ago and it went away.
The only reason I found out about this was in 2008 my dada bought a brand new Audi Q7. the following year he brought it in for a whining sound. Audi checked it all out seemed mechanically sound, but they replaced the entire rear differential. The new one was making the same sound. they then changed tires to brand new tires and it went away.
but give i a try, sounds like you need new tires anyways.
