Default transmission clunk

My 04 auto is nearing the end of its extended warranty coverage. I get a weird "clunk" noise if I'm downshifting (in the "manual" mode) to a stop. Doesn't happen if car is in "auto" mode. So like rolling to a red light if I down shift from 3rd gear to 2nd at around 2000 rpm I get a clunk and a slight jerk. Only from 3rd to 2nd. It doesn't happen always, its intermittent.

Also when the car is parked and I put it into gear(drive or reverse, doesn't matter) it makes a clunk sound. I understand a little clunk could be normal, but this seems a bit louder than it should be.

Had nissan check the tranny out when it began, they said the solonoids and shifting points were fine.

Relevant info:
04 auto
No drivetrain mods
78000 kms
All fluids changed regularly

Any ides on what it could be would be appreciated.

Another thing, i forgot to mention. I don't know if this is related, i couldn't find this anywhere on the internet or on the forum.

If my car is parked facing uphill on a slight incline. (almost flat but not quite, enough of an incline where a ball would roll down if placed on the road). So if the cars in park, and i put it into Neutral, it doesn't roll back. No seized brake calipers.

Same issue?

And nissans gonna have a look at the bushing on thursday. I will update about that then.

check for a black fluid coming from the diff bushing. it may be shot and causing play when the drivetrain sees torque

So, i took the car to Nissan today. All the bushings were fine. The differential was fine. So they decided to just order me a new transmission through extended warranty.
