mine does it too. Only at cold start up for <1 sec though.

Consuming oil is fine/normal, it's how much it's consuming you need to be aware of.

Soot is 110% normal in the exhaust pipe, don't even think about it.

Yeah I thought the soot was normal... I just happened to read a thread about unusual amounts of soot associated with oil consumption. Yeah I'm taking the car down to the dealer next week. Anything i should watch out for when I go to the dealer? (Dealer adding more oil than recommended, or any other BS)?
