Fusible Link for Radiator Fan keeps blowing
While sitting at a traffic light, my idle speed temporarily went up to 1k for about 10 seconds before going back to 850. During the idle speed surge the engine sounded noticeably different as if a new 'load' was placed on it. Immediately afterwards my a/c quit blowing cold and after a couple minutes of not moving the car began to overheat.
Pulled over and found the 40A fusible link for the radiator in the green case was blown. Replaced with OEM and it blew after about 5 minutes of operation. Same exact scenario...sitting at traffic light, RPM's went to 1k, and it blew.
Recently I replaced the entire fan assembly with a NAPA product and the a/c condenser and throttle body with used OEM units. The only thing I can imagine is the fan assembly is defective.
What do you think? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

TL : DR - fusible link for radiator fan keeps blowing while at idle when idle speed jumps to 1k for unknown reasons.
