Default crankshaft key

ok guys i have a big problem. my crankshaft turns and the car runs with no noises however the crank pully will not turn. i adjusted the belts thinking maybe to tight and that didnt fix anything. im thinking the keyway broke because i had a ur pully on it and the keyway completly destroyed the pully to the point where it was wobiling. i replaced the pully with a stock one and put a new seal in. so my question is it for sure my keyway and if so it looks like it goes in under the sproket has anyone ever changed it? im thinking that the front main seal will need to come off but if there is a better way please tell me.

........... yes you might be able to just change it with the front cover off, but expect to pull the timing chain. the key is the only thing turning the pulley and sprocket, they arnt press fit(well unless you get a ati or fluidamper.)

amazes me how someone can still sell crap pulleys makes me feel like i could sell rocks to people.

When my crank pulley cracked and the key broke I skipped timing. I would not start the car Untill you fix it.

Another UR pulley bites the dust! The pulley isn't pressed in, but like mentioned above, the ati will be a tight fit, the key probably went off on to better places...

if its broken flush you will need to remove the riming cover and timing chain, then take the sprocket off, there might be a lil notch sticking out which you might have to file down the crank to remove sprocket
