Default Hit a Pothole, Tire can't be aligned

So I recently ran over a pothole at low speed. It was a deep one though.

After it happened the wheel looked like it was at a really weird angle(like the wheel wasn't sitting flat). I took it to get it aligned but they couldn't align that wheel. They did their best.

hoped maybe someone could tell me what the problem might be. From what I've read its probably a bad strut or CV joint?

Thanks for reading

Why not ask the people who tried to align it whats wrong with it. Hell with no pictures and a vague description how are we supposed to know.

Well they didn't know what was wrong with it. I figured it could only be a couple of things wrong and someone might know.

It would help if you told us which wheel, showed a picture of what it looks like, etc.

There are a ton of different parts that play a part in the attachment of your wheel to the car and the proper alignment.

Also, if the alignment shop couldn't tell you what was broken/bent, they aren't a very good alignment shop. Maybe you can ask some folks in the Florida Z club of a shop they would recommend?

Did the shop rebalance the wheel or they align your suspension? Which one did they do or both?

Maybe someone is not smart enough to be performing alignments if they can't explain or figure out why they couldn't complete it

I wouldn't trust an alignment shop that didn't know why the car couldn't be aligned properly.

Like the others said, it would be a pure guess on our part. Your best bet is to find another shop to take your car to.
