Angry Replaced valve cover gasket twice and oil is still leaking...

At first I replaced both VCG's at 160000 miles. 2 weeks later my driver side VCG was leaking because I pinched it. Upon inspection, I found one of the spark plug wells full of oil. I changed the VCG today, drove the car around, and its still leaking oil in the back/right corner (when facing the engine) on the driver side. What am I doing wrong? Or do I just need to replace the whole valve cover since one of the spark plug wells is leaking oil? Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

Replace valve cover or rebuild valve cover seals using R&D kit. Just pick up a replacement valve cover that is leaking probably cylinder number 6 and call it a day. The issue is the spark plug tube seals and not the valve cover gasket. That is just recommended to be replaced since you are already doing all the work.

you can use spray adhesive or rub some grey sealer on the gasket to hold it in place while installing

I just purchased a new valve driver side valve cover and oem gasket...hopefully that fixes the problem. It's so stressful, especially when you do it yourself!

It's only stressful because it takes so damn long to change out a $13 part. I've only done VC gaskets on 4 cyl, which is so easy a caveman could do it, and if it's leaking, only takes another 20 min to re-do it. I just did my left one on Friday and after driving it yesterday, I don't see oil oozing all over the place, or smoke, so I *think* I'm good, but I'm still worried, heh.
