Default Hydrolocked my engine today

Hydrolocked my engine today. She's my daily so got her parked Ina parking lot on post till I can get back to her. Looked online, as I always do, and they say to remove my spark plugs and crank it. I got the bp turbo kit. Is there anything else recommended to change or do? Leave in two weeks on deployment and was gonna try and build my block when I got back. But there r so many last minute errands to run and make sure my finances are straight before I leave (cancel Internet and return modem, mail some clothes home for RNR, suspend my phone, etc...) would just like to have a running car before I leave added to the final equation. If not I gotta tow it to my friends garage to store it and that's more money I could save on deployment.

Intercooler going in or out? And change oil twice? In that case is it better to wait the year and come back with stacks so they can build my short block? I don't want to bend a valve in this process?

You might have water in the intercooler you will get most water out with cranking the car with the plugs out and then change the oil but if the oil still looks milky after oil change you will need to change it again

Got on my z Facebook page and someone told me not to try anything. He said to call insurance and have it replaced. He tryd to fix it his self and he bent a valve and insurance didn't cover it. Ima see what my insurance has to say about it. I don't care if my title says water damaged because I intend on keeping this car till it explodes from a nuclear holocaust.

Yeah, removing the spark plugs and cranking it will push the water out of the spark plug holes. If the engine doesn't spin, your rods are bent, and you need a new motor. Not to scare you but my buddy hydrolocked his engine and the rod bend so much that it poked a hole in the block.

I hydro locked it because I got a boosted performance turbo kit and the intake is on the floor. I was behind someone at a light and by the time we got to 40 the puddle started. I slowed down to like 15 but then I heard a clunk.

A buddy of mine said they didn't cover it after he tried the spark plug thing because there isn't proof it was hydro locked with no water. Something like that. Shouldn't have drive but pointing that out after the fact is a lil immature don't u think. Gotta get to work somehow

just looked on nissans website, it says a brand new long block is around $6,000. what could anyone guess the labor would cost? any shop know what they would charge? im trying to have peace of mind here, dont want them to try and total out my car because of the 12k ive put into it. i know the tourings according to insurance are still worth 12k.
my claims adjuster is goin to go to nissan between monday and wednesday, and i will be out of this country by next weekend. dont want any hiccups on this last minute situation.

SHoot. That otta get u a built block and time to play after all mods necessary.

As most all know--You can get stock blocks from $500-$1000. Seen builts for $2000.00++. So it's all up to what u wana do. GL w it all tho. And safe deployment.

Not sure what planet you saw those prices on. Best OP can hope for on that budget is a used stock longblock and labor to swap it.

I had no idea insurance covers hydrolock... did they give you any crap about it being your fault because of the modifications made to the car?
