Hard to shift into second sometimes?
This mostly happens when downshifting. And I'm not talking high speeds either. I can be going 5-10 mph in neutral and I can't put it into 1st or second unless I rev match. It's like I'm shifting without using the clutch. In fact, if I rev match and pop it into 2nd without the clutch, it's not any harder to do.
Starting off and shifting 1-2-3-4-5-6 is no problem though. It's never hard to shift. Just going from 3rd to 2nd or neutral to 2nd gear.
I think it happens more when the car is cold but I'm not sure. The other weird thing is that it doesn't always happen, only like 50% of the time.
Any thoughts?
It's an 06 with only 35k miles

Clutch might not be disengaging. Many of my cars I used to upshift without the clutch, downshifting was another story. That would be better than a bad trans.

So i have some more info. I drove the car for about 20 miles on the freeway and after that there was no problems. It's like it works perfectly once it's warmed up. Maybe it's the fluid? It's the original fluid, never changed.
I usually drive it no more than 3-4 miles at a time because work/stores/friends/gym are all less than 5 miles away from me. Last night when I was leaving work, it was even a little tough to get it out of first gear, which I've never had. But I've only driven this car for a few months so this is my first time in the colder weather.
I'll try changing fluid. And recommendations?
And what do you mean by how high it picks up? I did have a problem with the clutch before so I bled it and it works better. It's still a little rough, when I shift gears and don't give a little gas, the car kind of jumps. Most other cars I can just shift and then give gas later and it's super smooth. How can I adjust the clutch?
