Default Sandy flooded my 6mt

Sandy flooded my beloved 6mt g :-( I'm in rockaway NY and we got destroyed by this super storm. I can't give up on my baby. What's the best way to revive her?
The water reached high enough to get into the pocket compartment area where the factory nav would be. The water also killed my battery so my trunk and windows were open when I checked the car the morning after

water probably fried most of the car's electronics. unfortunately I think your best shot is to go through insurance and hope that they give you enough to buy a new car. best of luck to you.

Liability insurance. So making a claim is a no no.

Why in the world would you only carry Liability insurance on your G? And don't say because full coverage was too expensive, because if that was the case you had no business owning a G in the first place... Sorry to be harsh but.

If it's salt water forget it. If it's fresh water, take out plugs & spin the engine, change fluids, dry car out, put plugs back in then cross your fingers & turn the key.

The car has 1,000s of dollars of electrical moduels, and sensors, it has numerous harnesses & connectors etc. Even if it works odds are eventually something will die.

I would not waste time or money on it.

Sadly its done, All of the electronics in it are going to fail soon if you were ever to get it dried out. Flood damage is worse than collision damage. Sorry for your loss, but letting it go would be best. Take it as a lesson learned on insurance.

Then trade it in if it runs.

sorry to hear about that... i live on miami beach FL and i just went thru the same situation, but in my case i just had about 2 inches of water inside my car when i woke up. i took both seats out so i could vacuum as much water as possible, i also lift the carpet to get the water that was underneath, the same day i did an oil & tranny change, the oil and tranny fluid looked ok. the same day i left two fans inside the car the whole night running, the only thing that was damaged was the starter, i bought a new and problem solved. The Z still running fine and i hope stays like this.
