I was waiting for a light to change and I smelled this burning odor kind of like burnt wood like after you cut a piece of particle board. I thought it was the wood my amp is mounted to but then realized it was coming from the vents. When i got home i turned the vent to high and it was really strong odor. checked the amp and no smell from it. I have 12000 miles so I don't think its the exhaust. It smells like burning wood mixed with a glue gun smell. Any one know what this could be?

 

I bet it's something caught up inside the vent system. My buddy Eric had a smell, the dealership found a dead mouse inside the heater fan!

 

The thing is it only happens every once in a while. Maybe once every month. It isn't something the dealership could duplicate, it just happens.

 

I am not positive, but there is a air filter that filters the air in the cabin. I heard it was made out of charcoal. Could this be the problem?
