Question HELP: New 2004 Convertible owner.....

Hello all, thanks for reading and hopefully supplying a couple of answers. I just bought an '04 convertible 350z manual 6 speed w/ 50k, a touring package. Silver/Black leather. Pretty much stock. It also has a Bose stereo system and the 6 CD player in it. I'm in Cincinnati area and flew to Harrisburg PA to pick the car up. The car rides great and so far, only two items are standing out:

# 1) Has anyone had any issues with the Bose system ? My unit seems to clip the low end afetr playing for a bit. The low end will work for about 30 seconds to a minute, quit for about the same amount of time, then re-engage ? Any ideas ? I don't think a loose wire would be this consistent and the speaker doesn't seem to have any issues while playing.

2) I've read a little that there are window issues on some cars ?? My passenger window is flakey. I managed to roll 1/2 way down the other day, then it would not go up or down until I opened and closed the door. Then it went up. Yesterday, it would not respond to the switch at all. Is there some sort of child lock that gets gets engaged ? I didn't see anything in the manual related.

Other than that, this car is awesome. Would love to find a mechanic in SW Ohio that likes money on the side. These little annoyances are OK, but I'd like to get answers and get it straightened out ! Too awesome of a car to have issues....

Thanks in advance !

Welcome to the forum. If you have a search on the site in the maintenance section you will find a guide how to fix said wonky window.

Bose is also another very common issue.

Hey, thanks ! Great tutorial on fixing the stereo. About 20 minutes and one major headache eliminated. I'll read up on the window fixes available.

Hmmm, I guess there is a child lock feature after all ;-)

Looks like water gets in the car and cause some minor issues. What is the hx of the car?
