Car can't hold idle.
I have a 2006 Nissan 350zwith 40k miles. I just did the belts on it a few days ago and the car was driving fine with the exception of the belts squealing during cold starts. Last night I decided to retighten the belts and the noise went away. I drove it today in the pouring rain to school. On the way home I went to start my car and the car died a few seconds later. I was able to get the car home keeping it in 2nd and 3rd gear. Whenever I got to a light and let the car idle the car would just die out. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I have a cold air intake, I don't think I hit any big puddles.
Could it be that my filter on my cold air intake was too soaked? I have a bypass too. I pulled the air filter off and dried it a bit, but it back on and the car seems to idle normally. I started the car before I pulled the filter to dry and it was idling but bogging and wanted to stall. I appreciate all of the help. I have been searching the forums all day but can't come to a conclusion. I havn't pulled the maf out yet.
