intermittent buzz from center mirror
window intermittently doesn't zip up when door is closed
cruise control set light sometimes flickers over bumps or goes out (even when car is still maintaining speed)

Otherwise, the car is fine. Haven't taken car any for any of this yet... will do so when something major comes up or if there's a recall. Haven't noticed any feathering or cupping yet.

 

i have an 04 enthusiast a/t. i have had it for almost a week with 1.3k mailes on it. this is my first sports car so i do not know what to expect, had a 97 subaru outback sport before. the only problems i have had is the gas tank fill up, i was taking a road trip and was nearly empty, the car would only let me put 9 gallons in, i was like wtf...let it settle for a minute or two and everything was fine. also the tranny seems to worry me a bit, 5-4,4-3,2-1 downshifts with manual mode are ok, but 3-2 is weird, even when going slow and the tach is at 1.5k, after downshifting into 2 the tach jumps around and so does the car. the stock speaker on the passenger side seems to be killed already, but i am planning on replacing speakers anyway, with some infiniti's, had them on my last car and they were kick *** for many years with loud playing of hiphop, lots of bass. mpg is good, got 25 going around 70, around 20 for city driving, i don't push it too much yet. also got the car up to 120 on highway and it was silky smooth. i did this crazy fast drive at 3am on a sunday night on a long *** striahgtaway. i am lovin the car and searching for a third job to start moding the car, lambo doors might be first?

 

Yes, tires are a problem on my 04. I've had it 4 months and I'm now at 6,000 miles. Schedule for the alignment and tire swap next Tuesday. The service manager didn't seem too surprised that I was reporting this on an 04. Everything else is fine.

 

04 350ZR I have had the car about six weeks and drive it up and down the highway just for fun everyday. Can't stay out of it and love the car. Have had no problems yet.

 

i must also add now that i have the grease streaks, i noticed them only after washing my car twice in the first week. sorta looks like someone basted your car with vegetable oil like the windows were a turkey????it doesn't bother me much, i guess there are a lot of perfectionists out there ????

 

what is cupping ?

 

btw i have getten the car to around 132-133 on highway

 

I have 2004 s.s track built date 7/2003 only have 300 miles on it because my office is 5 minutes away from my home. The only thing i have concerns about is second gear notchiness other then that no rattles ,no grease marks, no pulling but i dont get to drive to far, so far its ok .

 

hey leemek the gas issue you had,i had the SAME problem the 1st or 2nd time i filled up...wierd

 

04 with build date of 02/2004. Rattle on driver door panel when the stereo is turned up & I think I may have the strut tower rattle. 1,400 miles so too early to tell if the tires are going to feather. I have had some wierd noises when the car is at a stop from my tranny though. Other than that I love it and hope to own it for many years.

 

I have about 1800 miles on it now and the problem hasn't returned.. but I do find that the interior trim pieces break a lot.. recently the driver side door vent "collapsed" and just fell all apart when I went to adjust it..I was like WTF not major of course just annoying.. gotta bring it in again.. They re-mounted my gas door button that fell into the dash but sometimes you have to press it like 3 times before it really opens.. (i hear the motor working but door not open)

Oh and I got the alignment checked.. It was "out of spec" according to Nissan and adjusted but the car still slightly pulls to the right..

Overall, I'm still more than satisfied and my problems are fairly minor..

04 Track, I forgot what my build date is and I have about 300 miles on it so far.
- Rattle sound when turning the car on
- Rattle noise when shutting off
- Weird shudder/chatter noise when taking off from a start

Hopefully someone at the meet on friday knows what these noises are from.

 

04 enthz. 2000 miles rear tire noise dealer changed out for the same type and brand tire and the noise came back in a day .
Waste of his money and my time(Nisan wouldn't help)
Driver seat shifts when making a left hand turn.was told by the dealer that they all do that! good thing they don't all blow up.....

 

A couple of questions? I just gotten my 04 Z on monday Brand New, I only put 300 miles on it so far, So i don't think any problems would be arising at thi point yet. But how do you know when you car was built?? Is it from the owners manual which states the date when the manual it for vehicles built 7/03 and later models??? So far, the only thing I notice that was wrong was when I rolled down the widow and roll it back up after a car wash or it was raining earlier, there would be trails of water. Is that common??

'04 Enth, Vin assigned 1/24/04, 2500 miles, and no major problems. Well, gas mileage, but that's entirely my damn fault.

They really could have done better on the dipstick, though. Jeez….

 

04 Enthus. 12,500 miles, first 04 delivered to my dealership.

Problems:

feathering. Had alignment done and new tires.

Driver's seat. Had the TSB done, but it is still loose (it moves on me). Dealer insists this is normal and within spec. It annoyes the hell out of my tho.

Window creaks (very slightly tho) when I roll it up. TSB done, no change. Oh, well, I can live with it.

I have a creak (I am convinced it is a seam) in the left rear, dealer is cluess, and either can't get is to duplicate, or does and tries to blame my Nismo suspension for it (uh, guys, it did it before I put the stuff on, and it still does it). This one annoys me to noi end, as my driveway is the perfect place and it does it every time, but someone it knows when I am within 5 miles of a dealer and I can't get it to do it for them. Grrr... I am going to go in when I do my stereo and try and fix this and the seat myself.

The material on my left armrest (with the window buttons) started to peel, so I had that replaced under warranty.

Um, that's all, really.
the seat and the creak really drive me nuts; maybe I'm too picky, but I never had this kind of problem on a japanese car before. I jsut wonder if quality is going down overall... Hell, my mom is having squeals and rattles on her brand new camry. *sigh* If all this crap is gonna rattle ans squeals and break anyway, I outta just buy a corvette :P

 

Roadster Touring built on 1/04. 3000K mi. My 2nd & 3rd gear knochy seems to be getting worse and I have a slight grind once in a while especially in the morning. I am starting to get worried. I already went through this with my last Z.

I don't want to go through that again.
