Hey guys, I have a 2007 w/ 86k miles. I recently bought it and found that there's a squeaking noise from the rear that comes mainly when I hit bumps. I don't think it's the suspension cuz it doesn't sound like it's coming from there and it's the same noise whether a large bump or small bump. I feel like it's coming from the rear strut tower, pass side more so than driver side.

This weekend I took the plastic panels off the strut tower and drive it without any panels and the noise was still there. Any thoughts on what it could be? I searched it and somebody mentioned the strut tower needs to be replaced and re-welded Please tell me otherwise

If you find a fix... PLEASE remember to repost. Many of us have this. It could be an issue where I hear the bolt in the rear strut fork has a little play. I just need to buckle down and find an mechanic who is willing to some funky work like this for a reasonable price.... if it works.

 

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous. I had no such problem with my 03. Will continue my search. Bump for answer
