Default Trunk opens when cars unlocked

It's happening to my friends 350z and I can't figure it out.
When you unlock his car (with the key or key fob) it also opens the trunk. (If you use the unlock/lock switch on the doors nothing happens)
Yesterday we were putting gas and as the gas is being pumped the trunk release went on at least 20 times
I read up a bit and it showed either a blown fuse or the bcm reset? So I disconnected the negative terminal for 15 minutes and checked all the fuses, neither worked. And those are the only two suggestions I've found during my research
Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like its getting power from somewhere else look at the schematic for the trunk latch motor and trace it down. Like a power source from the door locks is tied onto the trunk latch power supply.Suggest getting a 10 dollar shop factory repair manual cd from eBay has all the info u need.i got mine there.

It could be that the manual release button/switch located just above the rear license plate is sticking in the open position. When you lock the car, power is removed from this switch, effectively locking the trunk. When you unlock the car (with the key or remote key fob) it supplies power to one side of this switch allowing you to open the trunk.

If the spring loaded switch mechanism is sticking/faulty, it will react as you have described.

It’s really hard to diagnose cars over the Internet, but look into this switch and/or the solenoid it controls.

It probably would have been better to post a new thread then post twice in very old threads. Bruno hasn't been active since 2013, and it looks like most people in your other thread haven't been active in a few years also.
