Default Buying a New or Used BCM, how important is it?

I have to get a New or Used BCM for my 2004 350Z manual trans. How important is it to buy a new one vs a used one? If I do go with a used one off of ebay, how important is it to get the exact year AND manual transmission. Funds are low right now so buying a part that is $275 vs $79.99 would really help me out right now. Thanks for any input

Check out slidegood.com or turbo-toys. Turbo-toys website is not working for me, but they are hooking me up with several parts I need and shipping out the same day. Slidegood is just as well respected and well known.

When possible, I will purchase used parts to save some $$$.

PS - I now understand what a BCM is. Body Control Module!
