Default Violent Shaking under hard acceleration.

Hello Peeps, well I took out my Z for regular monthly drive. I have a route that I usually use in a circle to come straight home and back into the garage. Well in this long stretch I always open her up (1st-4th). Well this time at the top of 3rd gear the front end started to shake horribly. I had to pull over because you could also hear a banging while shaking, opened the hood and got got on the the ground to see what was flapping around. I saw nothing wrong, got back on my car and drove home and did not feel anything wrong with the car. Jacked up the car and began trying to shake and bang the exhaust (PPE LTHs w/Motordyne TDX v2) and my SPL outer tie rod ends and everything felt solid. I also have RevShift 80A motor mounts and a 60A tranny mount which I'm about to change out for a Torque Solutions 75A tranny mount. Do you guys have any ideas on this dilemma? I saw a couple of threads similar to this one but no solution to any.

Apreciate any help,

Manny

mine didnt shake violently but the two screws and the clip in the middle of the undertray came loose and fell out of my car and banged around at 80mph. Any slower it was gone, faster and it became obvious to other drivers. Even people on the side of the track said they heard it flopping around. There was feedback from this in the steering wheel.

Since you drive only once a month..........is it possible your tires were flat spotted? That would account for vibration and you inability to see anything wrong. Try driving more often and see if you can recreate the vibration.

^ I thought of that aswell but since I got TPMS I didn't believe it but I checked tire pressure on all four corners 32psi all around. After I set the car back down on the ground from checking it, I took it on another drive and did the exact same thing. I can drive 75-85 mph with out hard acceleration and no shaking but as soon I drop some gears and really get on it will start shaking like if something's going to give.

I would go for a 30-50 mile drive and try it again. I have had some issues with flat spots from storage.(not my Z.. but a few other cars) Tire pressure will not correct this.

I hope it could be that, it would be an easy fix. But I doubt it because like I said I'm in 6th gear doin 75-85mph and no shaking. Plus when it shakes you can hear something banging around under the driver side.

When you work 26 days straight, on your days off (4 days) all you want to do is rest and maybe drive my car. Personally I prefer being driven around.

Look for sticky weights on the inside barrels.

There aren't any jiggy. Dam that could be it. I also got off my lazy butt as the person above states, floored it again 1st-4th and nothing I tried forcing it out of my car to do something I did a 2nd - 5th now real hard I had to stop because my exhaust spit out one of my exhaust tips LMAO!!! But now im confused since I reach a very high speed and no vibes.

Drive shaft messed up? Rear diff bushings blown out? Don't know what else would cause that kind of issue only during acceleration.
