Default AC and Heating issues....

So I stored my car over the winter and now that it has warmed up a tab bit...I was out there messing around with my car and drove it to work today only to find out that everything went well but my AC and Heating is acting very strange...a little chilly so I decided to turn on my heater come to find out it's not working proper...at first it started to warm a little then it got really cold as if my AC was on, but I checked and my temperature dial was set at 75...I asked myself how could this be...AC was not on either...so I started playing with the dials and when I turned on the AC it got hot then quickly turned cold...turned off the AC and it got warm again for just a second then back to cold...has anyone gone thru this experience before? Oh and another note...when I pulled in the driveway and opened my door I could hear the fan running like AC was on...I turned off the fan and AC all together and my fans are still running as if I still had my AC on...this is the radiator fans not my blower fan...just wanted to see if I can get some help before resulting to taking it in and spend money on something that I could have done myself...

Your blower blows across your heater core which has engine coolant flowing through it and that is where your heat comes from. If your heater motor is blowing cold than you are either A. low on coolant which create air pockets/bubbles in your heater core causing your heat not to work and being low on coolant would also explain why your fans were kicking on in your driveway or B. Your heater core could also have gotten stopped up preventing hot coolant from flowing through your heater core. I'd say 99% of the time, heaters blowing cold are because the car is low on coolant and you have air in your heater core. Heater cores don't get clogged/stopped up or go bad nearly as often as they used to.

First thing I would try is "burping" your coolant system. Go towards the bottom of the page in the link and there will be step by step instructions for bleeding all the air out of the system. Try that first and let us know how it turns out.
